The delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Mrs. Tatjana Miškova, and the Honorary Consul-General of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr. Samir Amarin. The President of the National Council and  his host signed the Agreement on Cooperation between the Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia. Mr. Bervar also met with the President of the Jordanian Parliament, Mr. Atef Tarawneh, the Chairman of the Amman Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Issa Haider Mourad, and the Minister for Industry, Trade and Supply, Mrs. Maha A. Ali. A working dinner was organised by the host which was also attended by the highest Jordanian officials, including the Head of the Government, Dr Abdullah Al-Ensour.

The visit represents an important milestone in the development of political relations between the countries by way of establishing the cooperation on the parliamentary level. The development of bilateral relations between the countries was at the centre of the topics discussed, complemented by the exchange of opinions and outlooks about the situation in the region in light of tackling the wave of refugees and migrants. As a matter of fact, Jordan is the country that feels the consequences of conflicts taking place in the region in the most acute manner but still manages to maintain its stability and international reputation. The hosts informed the delegation of reforms planned for enhancing further balance in the country. The interest has been expressed for taking advantage of the strategic positions of both countries and for promoting economic cooperation with the aim to increase the volume of trade in goods between the countries. The participation of Slovenia in two projects has been highlighted, specifically, its engagement in regard to the rehabilitation of children from Gaza and the training about human rights which has been based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child. For this purpose, the National Council's delegation paid a visit to the orphanage S.O. S. Village in Irbidu.
